Police make arrest after woman shot, killed in Shawnee apartment

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An arrest has been made after a mother was found dead inside of an apartment in the Shawnee neighborhood Monday afternoon.

According to Jefferson County Coroner Bob Jones, Crystal Parker, 25, died at 1:30 p.m. of a gunshot wound in the Shawnee Garden apartments, located in the 200 block of South 42nd Street.

Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said officers arrested Parker's estranged boyfriend, Shahied Ditto, 33, in connection to her death, but the charges against him have not been released.

Mitchell also said an infant was removed from the home. According to Ditto's arrest slip, Parker and Ditto had two children together.
