LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police arrested a man after he tried to sell stolen truck batteries.

On May 8, the victim said he saw two men working in the field across from Bulk First. He noticed they were driving a blue Chevy pick-up truck. Later he noticed the theft.  According to the arrest slip, nine Delko truck batteries valued at $1,800 were taken from the business.

Prior to reporting the theft to police, the victim called ISA on Campground Road to see if anyone had brought in the batteries. They said no initially, but later contacted the victim when Chaderike Dye, 26, pulled up in the blue Chevy with the victim's batteries.

Dye fled the scene, but left his ID at ISA.

Dye is being charged with receiving stolen property.
