LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man plead not guilty after he was taken into custody in connection to his estranged girlfriend's death.

Tuesday, Shahied Ditto, 33, plead not guilty to charges of murder in burglary in connection to the death of Crystal Parker, 25.

According to Jefferson County Coroner Bob Jones, Parker died at 1:30 p.m. Monday of a gunshot wound in the Shawnee Garden apartments, located in the 200 block of South 42nd Street.

Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said an infant was removed from Parker's home.

An arrest report stated Parker and Ditto had two children together, but did not state whether the infant in the home was Ditto's child.

Ditto is being held in Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on a $500,000 cash bond.
