LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A southern Indiana woman has been arrested on charges that she disposed of the murder weapon in a Louisville case where the victim was left outside a hospital by his friends.

An arrest warrant states Brittany Morgan Flores, 24, is charged with tampering with physical evidence. According to police, Flores admitted that she got rid of the weapon used in the death of Christopher Jones and helped someone else dispose of clothing that may have belonged Jones.

On March 16, 2013, Jones was in a car when a gun in the back seat went off. The car drove to Kosair Children's Hospital where those inside left Jones on the sidewalk. Jones later died from his wound.

Friends of Jones told LMPD he shot himself by accident, but the Jefferson County Coroner's Office said that is not true. The death has been ruled as a homicide.
