LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Disney dreams are coming true for a child who was the sole survivor when the house she was in caught fire. Tatyana Hughes and her family flew to Orlando, Florida Thursday.

WAVE 3 News surprised the child's family with an all-expense paid trip to Disney World May 14.

"She's been like, every day, 'is it time yet? Is it time yet? I want to go to Disney World I don't want to go to school!' It's been really really exciting," Tatyana's grandmother, Marie Clark, said.

In March, WAVE 3 News broke the story about a broken promise made to Tatyana Hughes. From the moment Tatyana awakened from a coma, all she could talk about was a trip to Walt Disney World.

Vacation plans fell through because of several reasons.

Two viewers couldn't ignore the story. Steve and Terri Bass made a generous donation to ensure Tatyana experienced a fairy tale vacation. Southwest Airlines also donated non-stop tickets from Louisville, Kentucky to Orlando, Florida to cover airfare.

"It's so exciting, exciting, exciting! We have butterflies everywhere. It's awesome! Thank you Steve and Terri Bass. God Bless you. Thank you for making Tatyana's dream come true," Clark said.

Tatyana was hurt in the January 4 arson that killed her three siblings, Trinity Hughes, age 2, Tyrese Hughes, age 4, and Tai'zah Hughes, age 6, in a home on Ealy Street in New Albany.

Police arrested Cody Cashion, 18, Kylie Jenks, 19, Shelby Makowsky, 18 and a 17-year-old juvenile in connection to the fire where investigators said Cashion fired a flare into the house.

Tatyana and her siblings were visiting the house. The person police said Cashion intended to be the target was not home.
