LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two children were taken to the hospital following separate near-drowning incidents on Saturday.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said a 9-year-old boy was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital after an incident at a home in the 200 block of Waterleaf Way in Crescent Hill that was called in at 3:07 p.m. According to a spokesman, the boy is in the intensive care unit.
Property records show that the house is owned by former NFL player and St. Xavier football coach Will Wolford.
Following a call at 3:12 p.m., another child was taken to the hospital from a home in the 2900 block of Lexham Road near Breckenridge Lane. MetroSafe said that child is expected to recover.
