LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Children
at a local Catholic school spent their final weeks in class doing more than
Students at Holy Family
School donated more than 2,300 canned goods to the Schuhmann Center – triple the
amount from previous years.
Volunteer Shirley Peak
says that generosity is a year-round act. "At Christmas time, we give toys and
hats and gloves, and Easter baskets at Easter time," she said.
The school began charity
work with St. Vincent de Paul 27 years ago.
