LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman was arrested after admitting to using several names to get morphine at local hospitals.
According to an arrest slip, Michelle Hernandez, 34, went to Norton ER on April 1. The registration employee recognized her from multiple visits at Suburban ER. The staff figured out she had 93 visits to the Norton ER since 2005 and used four names, seven social security numbers and two birth dates.
Hernandez gave a detective a taped statement in which she admitted to using multiple variations of her identity and address in order to avoid detection by hospital staff. She said she sought morphine.
After admitting that she knew using the identities was illegal, Hernandez told officers she has an addiction.
