LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman was taken into custody in connection to the death of a man in his 70s who was stabbed near Cane Run Road, according to Louisville Metro police.
According to MetroSafe, police were called to the 4300 block of Oboe Drive, located off Shanks Lane, at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an assault or possible shooting.
When emergency crews arrived they found the victim who was wounded in his abdomen. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the woman who was arrested was frequently at the home of the victim, but whether or not she lived there is unclear at this time.
Mitchell said police do not believe there are any other suspects at this point, but the case is still under investigation.
The names of the victim and the woman taken into custody have not been released.
