75-year-old victim of deadly stabbing identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The identity of a 75-year-old who died at his home after police said he was stabbed multiple times has been released.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Robert Taylor was pronounced dead at his home in the 4300 block of Oboe Drive Wednesday night.

Louisville Metro Police arrested Kirstie Yvonne Smith, 35, in Taylor's death.

Officers said Smith and Taylor were arguing when Smith got a large kitchen knife and stabbed Taylor.

Smith was booked into Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and charged with murder-domestic violence. She is scheduled to be arraigned on May 30.

Taylor was a retired firefighter. Funeral arraignments for Taylor will be held at G.C. Williams Funeral Home, located at 1935 West Broadway.
