LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A bus driver for the Jefferson County Public Schools is facing charges that he operated his bus in a manner which caused a child to be injured.
According to a criminal summons, on October 21, 2013, a bus being driven by Donald Babbage, Jr., 60, of Louisville, braked hard and caused the children onboard to be thrown forward. The daughter of Latasha Lewis, the person who filed the criminal complaint, was hurt when she hit the elbow of the student seated in from of her.
The child suffered injuries to her mouth which resulted in the loss of her two front permanent teeth and the loosening of a third tooth.
Babbage was served with a summons to appear in court on July 16.
