Golden Alert issued for missing Alzheimer's patient from Jeffersontown

UPDATE: The subject of this Golden Alert was located shortly after the alert was issued.

 

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Golden Alert has been issued for an Alzheimer's patient from Jeffersontown man who disappeared Sunday afternoon.

According to Louisville Jefferson County Emergency Management and MetroSafe, Rolando Carmona-Santiesteban, 80, was last seen in the vicinity of Biggen Hill Lane in Jeffersontown around 3 p.m. on Sunday. He may have walked toward Cattleman's Roadhouse at 2901 S. Hurstbourne Parkway. Authorities believe he may have asked for a ride to his previous address on Douglas Park Drive.

Carmona-Santiesteban is Latino. He is approximately 5'7" tall and weighs about 178 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige jacket, brown pants and blue and white flip flops. He has a memory or mental impairment.

Carmona-Santiesteban wears and watch and an identification bracelet with his son's name and phone number on it.

Anyone who sees him should call 911.
