LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man is facing multiple charges involving break-ins to vehicles.

According to an arrest reports, James Lee Strothoff, 39, admitted to committing the break-ins of dozens of vehicles between April 15 and May 20.

The warrant says Metro detectives became aware of Strothoff after he was arrested by another police department while committing a car break-in. At the time, Strothoff had in his possession several social security cards, identifications, credit cards and gift cards belonging to victims in the LMPD cases.

More stolen property was found at Strothoff's home after police served a search warrant.

In addition to charges he was arrested for on May 20, Strothoff is not charged with theft of a firearm, eight counts of theft from a motor vehicle, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
