Outlet malls first customers will shop for a cause

SHELBY COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – Thousands of people will get a chance to shop at a new outlet mall one day before it opens to the public.

The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass is scheduled to open July 31, but on July 30 retailers will open for a charity event benefiting the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.

Patrons will be the first to shop at stores including Coach, Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors and Under Armor. Shoppers will also receive a free coupon book with over $300 in savings to the 80 plus retailers.

Only 3,000 tickets will be available for the event and they cost $50 each. For more information, click here.

The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass are also still looking to hire employees. A job fair will be held June 4, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Martha Layne Collins High School Gymnasium, located on Discovery Boulevard.
