LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman is facing charges that she repeatedly obtained hydrocodone by phoning in phony prescriptions to area pharmacies.
Sarah Jean Rivers, 29, of Louisville, is facing 13 counts of unauthorized procurement of controlled substance.
Arrest reports say between April 25 and June 2, Rivers would call in a prescription for hydrocodone to area pharmacies using the federal identification number of a doctor without the doctor's consent. Rivers would give the pharmacy a phony name and date of birth for the patient.
Rivers was arrested June 2 at the Rite Aid at 409 W. Oak after phoning in a prescription to the pharmacy and arriving to pick it up. The arrest reports states other prescriptions were picked up at Kroger pharmacies.
