FLOYD COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - A high tech southern Indiana company is preparing to launch one of its projects up to the International Space Station.
Techshot is a research and development firm based out of Floyd County. The company developed a X-Ray system called the Bone Densitometer which will allow researchers aboard the space station to measure the density of the bones in mice.
The company said the data from the research will have many practical applications that can be used to benefit humans on Earth.
The device will be sent to the ISS this summer aboard the commercial Space-X Dragon space craft.
