LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A motorcyclist has died after he crashed on Manslick Road Friday night.
According to LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, the crash happened around 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street Road.
Witnesses told officers the motorcyclist was driving at a high rate of speed on Manslick Road when he lost control and was ejected from the bike.
Smiley said the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The man who was ejected was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Traffic was shut down in the area for around three hours while the LMPD Traffic Unit investigated the scene.
The name of the motorcyclist has not been released.
