LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Twenty-three new officers will help keep the
River City safe after graduating from the Louisville Metro Police's training
The ceremony took place at the Iroquois Amphitheater and featured
a sweet surprise for one woman in the audience as her newly graduated officer
got on one knee and popped the question on stage
Mayor Greg Fischer also spoke at the ceremony and thanked Metro
Council members for voting in favor of a 2 percent gas fee which will be added
on to some customer's LG&E bills. He said the increased fee will help fund
more officers in Louisville and make the city safer.
