LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - More than 65,000 cyclists across the country participated in Tour de Cure to raise funds for the nearly 26 million Americans with diabetes.
In Louisville, 350 riders came together Saturday morning at Norton Commons. There were several different routes for cyclists to choose from, ranging from a one mile family ride to a 60 mile ride.
By the end of the day, these volunteers raised $150,000.
"With diabetes growing at near-epidemic proportions, the need for funds has never been so great," said Daly Muller, Tour de Cure Manager, in a press release.
