ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A mother is facing charges after police say she left her baby alone in a hot car for half an hour.
According to Elizabethtown police, Francisca Driscoll, 24, left her 5-month-old child locked inside of a car outside of a CVS Pharmacy on June 6.
Someone saw the child and called officers for help.
Monday Doll told WLEX, "I forgot that I had the baby with me, so I locked the car with the baby inside and I went to the store and I thought for some reason that I left the baby at the house."
Police said once out of the vehicle the baby was sweating and warm to the touch. The child was transported to an area hospital and was released in the fathers care.
