ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A mother faces charges after her child is left inside a car for 30 minutes.
Elizabethtown Police said Francisca Driscoll, 24, left the 5-month-old locked in a car outside of CVS Pharmacy. Someone passing by saw the baby and called for help.
"I forgot that I had the baby with me so I locked the car with the baby inside and I went to the store and I think for some reason I thought I left the baby at the house," said Driscoll.
The baby was sweating and warm. The child was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The baby's father is taking care of her.
