Golden Alert issued for Mt. Washington woman

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Golden Alert has been issued for a 79-year-old Mount Washington woman.

According to the Mount Washington Police Department, Betty Schleinitz was last seen leaving her home around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Schleinitz is described as being 5'4'' and weighing 180 pounds with white hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue print unknown on wording, blue capri pants, blue shoes. She was carrying a black purse and a green shoulder bag with a flower print.

Police said Schleinitz is driving a white 2002 Mercury Mountaineer with a University of Louisville Cardinal on the back and Kentucky plate 922-KEJ.

Officers said Schleinitz has had hip and knee surgeries and her right knee is currently dislocated. She has a scar on her lower abdomen and her left knee.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to call 911 or contact the Mount Washington Police at (502) 955-7480.
