LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A judge will determine whether an accused drunk driver who slammed into a school bus is competent to stand trial.

Police said Sherry Neutz was three times over the legal limit and going 77 in a 35 mile-per-hour zone when she hit a school bus from Chenoweth Elementary School in January 2013. The crash happened at Brownsboro Road at Drescher Bridge. 15 students and the bus driver were on board.

Neutz was charged with DUI and 16 counts of wanton endangerment.

Friday in court, a psychologist talked about a traumatic brain injury Neutz suffered in the accident and said it would interfere with her ability to defend herself.

Neutz is due in court next in August.
