If you think about any training you've been to, you know it's usually not as good as working in the real world. A group of police officers got to take what they've been learning and put it to work in a real-world setting in a place most of us are very familiar with. The 22 silos that sit along Interstate 65 have been there so long that most of us don't give them a second thought.More >>

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - After 15 years, the University of Louisville signage has come off the old silos along southbound Interstate 65.

UofL purchased the 94-year-old silos for $3.3 million in 2013 and has plans to tear them down. University officials say they are in final negotiations with a contractor for the demolition of the property.

The silos originally were used to store soybeans. The UofL signage had been attached to them since 1998.
