LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police have identified the man wanted in connection to shooting that killed a 19-year-old man and left his sister in critical condition Monday morning.

According to Louisville Metro Police, Quinton Huddleston, 22, is wanted for the murder of Joshua Gordon, 19. Officers said Gordon was killed and his 25-year-old sister suffered a gunshot wound to the face during the shooting in the 5200 block of Shepherdsville Road.

The woman's 3-year-old son, who is now in the custody of family members, was in the apartment when the shooting happened and was unharmed.

The woman was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

"She suffered a critical gunshot wound," said LMPD Lt. Todd Kessinger. "She is unable to communicate with us at this point. She is expected to survive her injuries, but we have had very limited interaction with her."

Neighbors say Huddleston and the woman had been in a relationship. Police say there is a history of domestic violence between Huddleston and the woman.

The woman had filed an Emergency Protection Order against Huddleston last year. She told the judge she feared for her life. She says Huddleston came at her with scissors, punched her in the face, choked her and came at her with hammers.

In court, Huddleston admitted to hitting the woman.

"I reached back and struck her in the face, the side of the face," said Huddleston.

"He told you that the only way out of this relationship was in a box?" asked Judge Patricia Walker Fitzgerald who was reading a statement from the victim during a hearing. "He threatened to go to his brothers house and get his gun to go back to shoot you, your mother, little siblings and son. Is that accurate?" questioned the Judge.

"The accurate terminology was ‘me and my family,'" said the woman.

Police said Huddleston is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as being 5'8" tall and weighing 150 pounds with shoulder length dreadlocks.

Anyone with any information in the case is asked to call (502) 574-LMPD.
