Peoria pharmacy employee foils robbery attempt

PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Peoria police are trying to track down a man who attempted to rob narcotic pills from a grocery store pharmacy.

Officers have released surveillance photos in an effort to locate the suspect.

The man entered the store near 91st Avenue and Olive on Monday just before 4 p.m.

He handed an employee a note demanding specific narcotic pills, police said. The employee refused and the suspect left the store.

The man is described as black and between 25 to 35 years old. He has short, dark hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing dark pants, white tennis shoes and a red shirt.
