LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man is facing identity theft charges after he used the information of someone else to obtain water service.

An arrest report says James Finger, 42, used the information in June 2003 to get service from the Louisville Water Company. Louisville Metro Police said the victim of her identity had been stolen when she went to LWC to get water service.

The victim, who is an ex-girlfriend of Finger, called police on October 1, 2013. Police learned Finger lived in the house where LWC was providing service and the victim never lived there.
