LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – After being asked to leave a convenience store, a woman barricades herself in until police arrived.

According to witnesses, Amanda Hadley, 31, was asked by a store clerk to leave the Circle K on Mount Holly Road at least six times. Hadley then locked herself in a storage closet.

Police arrived, announced themselves and asked Hadley to come out, says an arrest report. Hadley had barricaded herself inside. When officers unlocked the door, she used her body as a barricade. Finally, police were able to shove the door open.

She resisted arrest and managed to throw a baggie to the ground, but an officer noticed. While searching her purse, police found a used syringe, digital scales with residue, two glass meth pipes, a straw, spoon and multiple baggies containing pills.

Hadley is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and criminal trespassing.
