Driver charged with murder in Hardin County crash

HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – The driver of a truck that hit acar in Hardin County, killing one teenage girl and sending another to thehospital, is charged with murder and aggravated DUI, according to the HardinCounty Detention Center.

On June 22, Michael Hilton was driving east on DeckardSchool Road when he hit the car driven by Brianna Taylor, traveling north onPatriot Parkway, Kentucky State Police said. Taylor, 17, was killed. Her18-year-old passenger, Mickayla Harig, was taken to University of LouisvilleHospital, along with Hilton and his passenger, his twin brother Anthony.

Beer cans were found scattered around the scene of thewreck.

In 2006, Hilton was sentenced to three years in prisonfor repeated DUI offenses.

Hilton was booked in the Hardin County Detention Center around8:15 p.m. on June 26.
