LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Nelson County man has been arrested in Louisville after he stole and expensive purse from a store and tried to run down a security officer.

An arrest warrant states that on the afternoon of June 8, Glenn Craig Durham, 29, of Bardstown, KY, concealed a Michael Kors purse in his clothing and left Von Maur at Oxmoor Center. Outside the store, Durham was approached by a store security officer who said Durham refused to come back inside the store, tried to hit the security officer with his fists, and was able to flee in a Ford Taurus after getting away from security.

The security officer, who was able to get the car license plate, said Durham drove the car directly at him as if he was trying to hit in with the car. The security officer was able to jump out of the way.

Several days later, the security officer was driving on Shelbyville Road and noticed the same Ford Taurus was behind him. Once he got behind the Taurus, the security officer was able to follow the car to a nearby Target store and call police.

After locating Durham inside the store, LMPD officers arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Durham was arrested by Bardstown police on June 25 on a Jefferson County warrant for the Von Maur incident. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections for robbery and wanton endangerment.
