Live music comes to Louis Armstrong international Airport through the month of July, with more performances possible after that.
Four locations at the airport will have live music weekdays: Zatarains, The Atrium Bar, the pre-security area at Concourse C and Ye Olde College Inn at Concourse D.
The initiative gives local musicians another steady gig and visitors to the city their first taste of New Orleans. The airport has hosted live music in the past, but only occasionally or for special events.
Most of the performances will be in the afternoons from about 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
