PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of a house fire in Phoenix Thursday night.

A rear shed at the house near 12th Street and Indian School Road was fully involved when Phoenix firefighters arrived about 7:30 p.m. and was threatening to spread to three adjacent houses, Phoenix Fire Capt. Ruben Saavedra said.

Firefighters received erroneous reports that people were trapped inside, but no one was found, Saavedra said.

Three people were displaced by the fire, Saavedra said, adding that no one was injured.

Neighbor John Tate grabbed his cell phone and recorded the early moments of the fire as the flames grew higher.

"I was hoping there were no propane tanks in that flame because I know it was a back storage area," Tate said. "I was hoping everyone was out and it didn't spread to the other house."

There were no damage reports available.
