Motorcyclist killed, 2 others injured in Hardin County crash
HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – Kentucky State Police identified the victims in crash that killed a motorcyclist and injured two others.
Richard Lawler, 37, of Eastview was driving a motorcycle southbound on S. Wilson Road (Ky. 447) when he was hit by a car, KSP said. Lawler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Michael Friedrich of Renfrew, PA, was driving northbound and crossed the center line for an unknown reason. Friedrich, 27, was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. His passenger, Michelle Joseph, 28, of Fort Knox was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Wilson Road and Deckard School Road around 4:40 p.m. Thursday. An investigation is ongoing.
