Woman arrested for June crash that injured 2 Shively officers

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Accused of causing an accident that injured two Shively officers, a Louisville woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and assault.

On June 14, two Shively police officers were involved in a collision on S. 7th Street. A woman driving a Chevy Lumina was heading south bound on 7th Street at a high speed when she crossed the painted median directly into the path of north bound 7th Street.

That woman has now been identified as Larrica Woodford, 30. According to an arrest warrant, Woodford was under the influence of alcohol and opiates when the crash occurred. She did not have insurance either.

Woodford was arrested at the Frankfort Avenue Tow Lot on July 3. She is being charged with DUI, assault, failure to own insurance and criminal mischief.
