LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A pet shop owner says an $800 puppy was stolen from his store in broad daylight.

According to Jay Hockersmith, the owner of Pet’s Palace on Goldsmith Lane, around 3 p.m. Wednesday a couple came into the shop, walked up to the puppy pen, picked up a Siberian Husky and then walked out.

Hockersmith said he is not concerned about the money, he just hopes the dog is receives the care it needs.

Louisville Metro police are investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD.
