2nd victim of Red Oak Lane shooting identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The name of the second man killed in a July 8 shooting in the Newburg neighborhood has been released.

Deputy coroner Cindy Thoene said John Robertson, 20, of Louisville, died from a single gunshot wound.

Robertson and Keevin Hayden, 28, were shot around 8 a.m. at a home in the 5300 block of Red Oak Lane. Both men died at the scene.

Louisville Metro Police said the men shot each other during a home invasion. Police said Hayden was the victim and lived in the house on occasion with permission from the owner. Robertson is being called the aggressor.

Two other men are being sought in connection with the crime.

An 8-year-old was in the home at the time, but was not injured.
