LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man has been charged with the burglary at a private club.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Akeem J. Johnson, 29, was at the Knights of Columbus in the 4400 block of River Road on the morning of July 11. Johnson asked workers what time the pool opened. A short time later one of the workers discovered her purse had been gone through. They also found a laptop computer which had been unplugged and moved closer to the door.

Johnson is charged with burglary and criminal trespassing. Deputies said the Knights of Columbus is a private facility and Johnson had no lawful reason to be on the grounds.
