LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville radio legend has announced the end of a long reign as program director and afternoon personality of 97.5 WAMZ.
After 45 years in broadcasting, Coyote Calhoun is calling it quits. Calhoun began his first radio job when he was just 15-years-old. Though he spent the majority of that time, 35 years, at WAMZ, Calhoun enjoyed stints as a disc jockey at WAKY in Louisville and a disco station in Houston.
Calhoun will end his day-to-day career at the end of 2014, but will serve as a community ambassador for the station including appearing at special events.
He plans to travel, watch a lot of baseball and continue serving the community.
