LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The site based decision making council for Male High School met for the first time since the school's principal was assigned to a job off campus amid accusations of rule breaking during college entrance exams.

Last week, the Kentucky Department of Education confirmed allegations made by ACT. The allegations involved the number of students who were certified as college ready after taking the test. The Department of Education also found that David Mike, the Male High principal, and other administrators pressured students and teachers into covering up the violations.

Jim Jury, the acting principal of Male High, said they're doing their best for students and staff to keep the school on track.

“This school’s in good shape, real good shape and the people here have really stepped up and very doable. Very, very doable,” said Jury. “It's good news for the Male community."

The council spent a good chunk of its meeting in closed session. That can be done to discuss personnel or legal issues, but there were no decisions made.

The state's report on the ACT probe now goes on to the Education Professional Standards Board.
