Burglar breaks into Kennedy family home looking for pop singer Katy Perry

HYANNIS PORT, MA (HyannisNews.com/CNN) - A burglar searching for pop singer Katy Perry in a home owned by the family of President John F. Kennedy.

Massachusetts police arrested a man, wearing a Captain America T-shirt, for breaking in to the house owned by Ted Kennedy Jr. - JFK's nephew.

Officers were called to the property by Kennedy.

A spokesman says Kennedy first phoned the house to check on his teenage son, when a stranger answered the phone.

Officers arrived and found the man in the kitchen with the teen.

Police say when they asked the man what he was doing there, and he told officers he was looking for Katy Perry.

The pop star was nowhere near the home at the time.

Police identified the man as James LaCroix and will charge him with breaking and entering.
