2nd arrest made in jewelry store burglaries

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A second arrest has been made in a burglary ring that targeted at least three jewelry stores in the metro.

St. Matthews police arrested Javier De La Noval, 28, in connection with the June 21 burglary at Genesis Diamonds in the Shelbyville Road Plaza. On June 26, police arrested Yussuan Chamizo, 32.

Police say De La Noval and Chamizo, along with a third man, are part of an organized ring that has hit at least for more stores across the country.

Noval and Chamizo are also suspected of breaking into Macy's at Oxmoor Center and Treasures at Jefferson Mall.
