LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman is accused of attempted murder after firing shots at her husband.
According to an arrest report, Alicia Thomas, 58, was fighting with her husband on July 18. Her husband went to a friend’s apartment in the same complex on South Brook Street. Thomas kicked in the door and fired three shots at her husband from a small, silver handgun.
He fled to the balcony and Thomas Followed him. Thomas pointed the gun at her husband and said, “I’m going to kill you and myself.” She then pulled the trigger, but the weapon did not fire and she fled the scene.
The victim had his sister take him to University Hospital because he was grazed by a bullet. The victim’s friend was not injured.
Thomas tried to dispose of the weapon prior to her arrest. She is being charged with attempted murder, tampering with physical evidence and wanton endangerment.
