The homeowner called police again a short time later saying Richardson had come back to the house an got in through a back window. Another search revealed the house was empty, but it was also discovered the pillows had been taken from the victim's bed.

Around 3:30 a.m. July 19, police were called back to the home about a suspicious person outside who refused to leave. The homeowner said Richardson was banging on her door.

When officers arrived, the saw Richardson sitting in a parked car. As officers approached, Richardson fled in the vehicle nearly hitting one officer. The car was found one street over, empty.

Shortly after police found the car, another 911 call from the homeowner sent officers back to the Bachmann Drive address because Richardson had returned there. When police found Richardson hiding behind an apartment complex he started to run. Richardson was arrested while trying to climb over a fence. Police had to use a taser and open hand strikes to place him in custody.

Once he was placed in a police car, Richardson kicked the inside of the door damaging it. During the ride to Metro Corrections, Richardson also threatened to assault the officers if he ever saw them "out in plain clothes."

Richardson was arrested one count each of burglary, wanton endangerment, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He is also charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police and three counts of criminal mischief.
