Louisville, KY (WAVE) Antonio Blakeney may be the biggest name at the AAU National Championships this weekend, but his teammate, Tacko Fall is the biggest star by far. At a listed 7'5", Fall towers over everybody, and believe it or not, the senior in the class of 2015 is still growing! According to Falls he was a mere 7'3" last year.
With his height, Fall is already garnering attention from the big boys in college basketball, but has only been playing the sport for a little over a year. A year which has seen major improvement. According to his AAU head coach, Steven Reece, Fall has what it takes to play major college basketball. "He's getting better each day. Tacko got a great work ethic. He's a great kid. Big on academics, but also big on working hard and getting better," said Reece. While he's getting so much love from college coaches, Falls knows he still has work to do to get better. "Keeping the ball high. Being more aggressive, rebound, and that's about it," said Fall.
Tacko says the extra attention he gets because of height doesn't bother him at all. "I'm used to it, so I can't say much about it," said Fall. Tacko does have a backup plan if this basketball thing doesn't workout, the 4.3 (GPA) student also wants to become the world's tallest biochemist.
