LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A year after a young man was killed, his family is still waiting for closure, and one suspect is still on the run.

Darius Miller Jr. would have graduated this year from the Waggener High School. The 17-year-old was the quarterback of the football team.

Miller’s father said the year has been hard on the people who loved his son. “There's still a guy out there for the murder of my son,” he said. He said he doesn’t know if the capture of the final suspect would help bring any closure, but he hopes it would help.

Miller was gunned down at 35th and Broadway on July 28, 2013.

Police identified three suspects. Two suspects - Kyle Chamber and Destiny Trusty - are awaiting trial for murder charges, but the third suspect, Leonel Hernandez, was never caught.
