According to an arrest warrant, Bush was a clerk for Home Depot who processed customer returns. Between March 12 and April 15, 2014, the warrant says Bush would ring in the return but kept the gift card with the balance and give the customer a card that had no cash value. The deception was discovered when a customer tried to use his gift card at the store, but found it had no value.

Bush admitted to the scheme in verbal and written statement. She told authorities she used the cards in the store to get items for herself and sold some to a pawn shop.

Bush is also being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on an outstanding bench warrant and two traffic-related charges.
