Man arrested after pawning stolen $2,000 banjo

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE)- A Louisville man has been arrested for pawning a stolen banjo.

According to an arrest warrant, the Vega 5 string banjo, valued at $2,069, was reported stolen from Steilberg String instruments sometime after May 18.

The warrant says Aaron Carrender, 27, pawned the banjo at Dan's Cash America on Hikes Lane.

Carrender was arrested July 21 in Monticello, KY by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on a Jefferson County warrant for receiving stolen property.
