Wilder says Rodden has not made a final decision on whether he'll continue as sheriff.

The decision could come soon. Wilder says Rodden does not want to impede the Sheriff''s Department in any way. Wilder says Rodden is taking the allegation very seriously and wants to do what's best for the community.

"The decision that we make and that is made regarding how the Sheriff's Department moves forward will speak volumes as to his community, and his commitment to his family and his commitment to the church and everyone around him," Wilder said.
