Bats no hit by Clippers Tyler Cloyd

Columbus, Ohio - Columbus Clippers righty Tyler Cloyd tossed a nine-inning no hitter against the Louisville Bats Wednesday night at Huntington Park in Columbus, using just 88 pitches. It is the fifth time Louisville has been no-hit, the last being by former Bat/Red Todd Redmond while with the Gwinnett Braves on May 28, 2010 at Louisville Slugger Field.

Cloyd did not allow a base runner to reach until he hit Donnie Murphy with a pitch to start the ninth. Murphy was erased when the next batter, Tucker Barnhart, grounded into a double play. Hernan Iribarren lined out to second to end the game.
