Serial bank robber receives 70 month sentence

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man police say robbed four Louisville banks in a two week span was sentenced Tuesday.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Robert Manley, 51, was sentenced to 70 months in prison and ordered to pay $11,960 in restitution.

Manley was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Jan. 2, 2013.

The U.S. Attorney’s office stated on Jan. 14, 2014 Manley pleaded guilty to taking $2,170 from the PNC Bank located at 3910 Taylorsville Road on Dec. 20, 2012, approximately $3,580 from the Chase Bank located at 8120 New LaGrange Road on Dec. 24, 2012, approximately $1,510 from the BB&T Bank located at 10403 Dixie Highway on Dec, 27, 2012 and approximately $4,750 from the River City Bank located at 2501 Bardstown Road on Dec. 31, 2012.
